What I’m Packing for Europe: My Capsule Wardrobe Staples

This summer, we’re heading to Nice with the kids, then on to Ibiza to celebrate Kyle’s 40th — and I’m so excited. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want my style to feel like on this trip. Ever since having kids, I’ve struggled a little with finding that balance between feeling sexy and still feeling like me, especially at the beach or on vacation.

This year, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and curate looks that feel elevated, fun, and yes — a little sexy — but still effortless and wearable for where I am in life right now. The result? A suitcase full of pieces I can mix and match for family days, beach lunches, and late-night dinners.

Here’s a peek inside my summer travel capsule wardrobe.

Beach & Daytime Looks

White Sheer Mini Dress
A breezy, lightweight dress that layers perfectly over swimwear. I’ll wear this with a straw hat and flat sandals for morning beach walks or casual lunches.

White Tank + Linen Pants
The ultimate travel-day or market morning look. Effortless, cool, and easy to accessorize with sunnies and slides.

Yellow Maxi Skirt + White Bandeau
A fun pop of color that works for a relaxed beach club lunch. The maxi skirt gives enough coverage while still feeling summery.

White Crochet Mini Dress
A chic throw-on for beach-to-bar days. Love it with black accessories for contrast.

Natural Crochet Halter Dress
A timeless summer dress that always looks good with minimal styling. Perfect with a straw tote and tan slides.

Black Crochet Pants + Bikini + Oversized Shirt
A comfortable cover-up look that feels elevated thanks to the monochrome black-on-black styling.

Olive Mini Dress
Effortless and easy to style multiple ways — sandals and a tote by day, gold jewelry and a clutch by night.

Evening & Dinner Outfits

Black Side-Tie Mini Dress
Minimalist with a twist — the side ties add just enough detail to keep it interesting.

Black Side-Cut Maxi Dress
A little dramatic and perfect for an Ibiza dinner. I’ll pair this with flat sandals for balance.

Olive Green Slip Dress
An easy but elevated option for Nice dinners. The color feels rich and summery.

Ivory Ruched Mini Dress
Simple and sleek — can be dressed up with heels or down with flats.

Sequin Two-Piece
Ibiza sparkle! This is my statement night-out look, paired with white strappy heels.

Versatile Co-Ords & Sets

Yellow Pinstripe Co-Ord
Playful and light — I’ll wear this over a bikini or buttoned up for a casual coffee run.

Printed Bandeau + Wide-Leg Pants
The ultimate “throw on and feel put together” set — works as a poolside set and then onto a beach club for lunch type of outfit.

Packing Notes

  • Color palette: whites, creams, olive greens, black, warm yellows, and natural textures — everything mixes easily.

  • Footwear: only comfortable, walkable sandals and heels I’ve tested before.

  • Mix & match potential: most pieces can be styled for both day and night just by swapping accessories.

If you’re heading somewhere sunny this summer, I hope this gives you some inspiration for putting together a capsule wardrobe that works hard for you — and makes packing (and getting dressed!) so much easier.
